Join me for a special movie night on Tuesday 24 June at the beautiful Roxy Cinema, where I’m thrilled to be screening the powerful New Zealand film Kōkā.
About the film:
Kōkā tells the moving story of the bond that forms between Kuia Hamo (Hinetu Dell) and Jo (Darneen Christian), a troubled young woman disconnected from te ao Māori. As they journey together in an old Ford Falcon toward Hamo’s whenua, Jo is gradually introduced to the strength and beauty of her ancestral heritage.
