Warm your hearts this winter by joining acclaimed Fijian chef and recipe developer Arrnott Olssen at Magenta House for a special cooking demonstration and lunch to celebrate soulful Fijian cuisine!

Learn how to create Kokoda Ceviche and Coconut Curry using Arrnott’s signature recipe and enjoy connecting with other students through foodways and storytelling.

Dedicated to his cultural advocacy work to promote Pasifika food, Arrnott is known for his bold take on fusing Fijian classics with seasonal Australian produce. His culinary practice has featured on Australian TV (My Kitchen Rules and Morning Show on Channel 7) and Arrnot is often invited to partner with some of Australia’s leading hospitality brands to create unforgettable dining experiences. This session at Magenta House marks his first workshop demo/lunch, so you're in for a treat!

Arrnott Olssen

Arrnott Olssen is a celebrated TV chef, creative powerhouse, and cultural advocate known for his bold fusion of food, fashion, and music. As the founder and host of The Kana Club pop-up restaurant, Arrnott shares his unique take on Fijian flavours, collaborating with some of Australia’s leading hospitality brands to create unforgettable dining experiences. A passionate champion of local produce and Pacific cuisine, he’s a regular face on Australian television, hosting cooking segments and appearing in media as a vocal advocate for Fijian food and its place in the modern culinary landscape. Before rising to prominence in the food world, Arrnott made his mark in fashion and music. He launched one of Australia’s first men’s fashion and lifestyle blogs and went on to style covers for Men’s Health Australia as a published fashion stylist. As a house music vocalist, he has performed alongside icons like Boy George, Sandy Rivera, Roger Sanchez, and Basement Jaxx, following his debut on Australia’s first reality music show Popstars.  Offstage, he’s the founder of Men Let’s Talk, a platform dedicated to men’s mental health and open conversation. Through every facet of his career, Arrnott continues to push boundaries, connect communities, and celebrate culture with heart and style.

Magenta House

Magenta House is a gathering and knowledge-sharing space that explores the prisms between art, food, communing and experimental practices. Nestled inside a re-envisioned domestic home in Redfern on Gadigal/Sydney Australia, we self-organise and partner with bright minds to host programs that foster community-led learning, cultural revitalisation, and cross-field dialogues. Our activities include workshops, communal meals, test kitchens, dialogues, soirées, reading sessions, and more. We also run a community library and online shop supporting social ventures, publishers, and independent artisans across Asia and Australia. Established in April 2023, Magenta House is a synergetic platform for ideas and encounters to ferment.
