Komunitas is a music showcase that features a line up of Naarm(Melbourne)-based musicians from the Indonesian diaspora. 

This year's Komunitas features:

Komang

Komang Rosie Clynes, best known by her first name Komang, is a singer, songwriter and producer based on Wurundjeri Country. Blending groove and neo-soul with Balinese spirit, Komang muses on ideas of kinship, mysticism, and relationship to place as ways of making meaning in this world. Her influences range from neo soul, trip hop and lofi beat-making through to sindhenan (Javanese court singing), gamelan and dangdut (Indonesian folk-pop). Since shifting from bedroom production to solo project and now to a live band setup, this year has seen her make the leap internationally for lineups such as Boiler Room Festival (Indonesia), We Out Here (UK) and London’s legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.

Matahara

Matahara is the solo project helmed by Marissa Yudinar (she/her) - an independent artist from Naarm via Jakarta. The 23-year-old artist creates forward-thinking bedroom pop that lives in a world of its own and gives light and warmth to everyone around her.

Luky Annash

Luky Annash is a Jakarta-born singer, songwriter and pianist based in Naarm (Melbourne). His style of music presents piano-based pop, classical and metal. His debut album 180º was released in 2011 and voted as one of the year's best albums by Indonesia's leading media outlets including Tempo and Rolling Stone. He is currently producing his next EP - expected to be released in 2024.
