Kondalilla Falls Walk
Event description
Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability:
By signing up and attending this event with The Kindness Collective, you and your guests or minors (if applicable) accept the risks inherent in hiking and assume all risks associated with such participation, including travel to and from the event. You agree to be responsible for your own safety and equipment; and realize that outdoor conditions, obstacles, and weather, are always changing. You and your successors agree to hold all Organizers and other TKC members harmless in the event of equipment loss or damage, injury or death.
Join us on Sunday 20th February for a relaxing morning walk in the Kondalilla National Park. The park is named after the spectacular Kondalilla Falls, where Skene Creek drops 90m into a rainforest valley. Kondalilla, an Aboriginal word meaning 'rushing waters', describes this park's waterfall during the summer wet season. The circuit track is about 4.7km with approximately 300 steps so a reasonable fitness level is required.
We'll be meeting at the entrance to the walk, which is in the grassy park close to the bathrooms. Please arrive early as we will begin the walk at 8:30am. If you arrive late, we will be doing the walk in an anticlockwise direction, heading down to the bottom of the falls first before walking back up to the rockpools for a swim, so you can catch up to us.
Please note: As with all of The Kindness Collective events, this event is hosted on a donation basis. All contributions are hugely appreciated to assist our hosts and help us to run more events, and can be made either via the registration link or on the day. All attendees are also required to register and by doing so agree to the waiver and assumption of risk. Thank you!
