Koonya Beach, Blairgowrie - Relaxed Hiker 6km's
Event description
Relaxed Hiker - Event Leader, Amanda
If you’re someone who enjoys a gentle, easy-going experience on the trails, the Relaxed Hiker category is perfect for you. These hikes are designed to be low-impact, covering distances of 5–7 kilometres at a leisurely pace. Frequent stops along the way give you plenty of opportunities to soak in the scenery, chat with fellow hikers, and take a breather whenever needed.
While these hikes are slower-paced and beginner-friendly, it’s important to have a basic level of fitness and stamina to keep up with the group so that everyone can enjoy the experience. If you’re new to bushwalking but feel you’re not quite ready to tackle the trails just yet, don’t worry—this can be the perfect opportunity to begin your fitness journey!
We will complete approx 7 kilometres in slightly over two hours. Definitely not a power walk, however there will be some inclines and soft sand. Therefore, we suggest that you carefully review all event information and ensure that you can keep up with the group. If you don't engage in any physical activity during the week or lead a sedentary lifestyle, our walk may not be appropriate for you at this stage***
This is an absolutely lovely walk starting from Blairgowrie's back beach and heading towards Rye. We will be walking on the spectacular coastal track. We have meticulously mapped out this hike to give you the wow factor without going too crazy with the kilometres. If you're looking to improve your fitness in a stunning area then the coastal track will give you that. If you're looking for incredible views and hopefully some rock pools, then you are in for a treat with this walk.
