    Event description

Shadow Wall is a beautiful and engaging children’s picture book: Once Scarlet lived in a home filled with colour, where she painted with Grandma Ruby. Green meadows, blue wild flowers and yellow ducklings danced across the canvas...but not anymore. Scarlet’s new home in the city seems endlessly grey but through a community mural Scarlet builds a colourful new beginning.

Olivia will be calling on years of experience as a kindergarten teacher to bring a fun and interactive story session with re-enactments, singing, a little colour magic and some shadow craft.

Olivia is a former kindergarten teacher from the South West Coast of Victoria who has recently become an author after pursuing her long-awaited dream of writing books for children. Olivia lives on a dairy farm with her husband, two kidlets and a menagerie of animals, including two very naughty goats named Hansel and Gretel. Olivia loves snorkelling, rock pooling, chatting to local crustaceans and can often be found looking for a second glimpse of the bright orange octopus she is almost certain she did not imagine once seeing.

This year Olivia released her debut picture book, Shadow Wall, and has a second picture book coming out early in 2025.
