KPU INTERNATIONAL: Social Insurance Number (SIN) Workshop - Sep 3, 2026

Did you know a SIN is required for legal employment and tax reporting in Canada? Join us for a comprehensive Social Insurance Number (SIN) workshop led by a Service Canada officer.

In this session, you'll learn what a SIN is, why it is important, and how to protect it.

Highlight: After the presentation, you can stay for personalized assistance, where the officer will help you complete your SIN application right on campus. You can avoid long wait times at Service Canada offices. Note! Please be advised that each SIN application takes approximately 15 minutes and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, until no later than 4:00 p.m. (~max about first 5 students will be able to apply for SIN on the day of event)

Please bring the following documents if you wish to apply SIN on campus:

• Your Study Permit (original form).

• Passport and any ID provided by the federal or provincial government (original form).

Time: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m

• 2:00 p.m to 2:45 p.m : SIN Presentation.

• 2:45 p.m to 4:00 p.m: SIN Application
