ABOUT FILM CAMP

The Australian School of Entrepreneurship with support from Logan City Council's Krank School Holiday Program, invites you to Film Camp.

Film Camp is an exciting, hands-on school holiday program where young people will explore the world of filmmaking, storytelling and digital content creation. Throughout the day, participants will work together to plan, film and edit their own short film using their smartphones, while developing creativity, confidence and teamwork.

Film Camp is designed for students aged 12 to 17 years.

ABOUT THE DAY

During Film Camp, students will discover what goes into creating engaging video content from idea to final edit. Working in small teams, they'll bring their stories to life while learning practical filmmaking skills they can continue using long after the workshop.

Key activities:

Storytelling & Creative Ideas: Learn how to turn simple ideas into engaging stories that capture an audience.
Filming Fundamentals: Discover camera angles, composition, lighting, sound and filming techniques using a smartphone.
Editing & Content Creation: Use easy-to-learn mobile editing apps to transform raw footage into a polished short film with music, transitions and titles.
Film Premiere: Students will showcase their completed short films in a fun screening and celebrate their creativity with the group.
