Event description

Kundalini yoga is often referred to as 'the yoga of awareness' and it is designed it activate the subtle mental, perceptual and feeling facility in our body. This makes it more possible for us to develop a creative and sacred relationship with our mind, body, emotions, soul, earth and universal forces.

In this four-week series, we explore and experience the fundamentals of Kundalini yoga, including:

  • physical postures and movements, called kriyas
  • pranayama, or breathing techniques
  • bhandas or locks
  • chanting and reciting mantras
  • focused meditation.

What will you learn?

By the end of this series, you will have a greater capacity to really listen and feel the subtle energies of our inner space and in our bodies. With greater access to these subtle energies, you work on building a firm foundation in your body. This foundation is the essential starting point for you to experience the qualities that we all desire: peace, love, purity, light, joy.

You will also have an understanding of the nuances of kundalini yoga, so you can practice confidently at home.

What else will you receive?

At the conclusion of each session, you will receive a home practice for the week and resources you can refer back to.

This series is great for those that have never practiced yoga, are beginners and for those that are more experienced.

If you have previous experience, don't worry, each session we will complete a full kriya and you will be invited to practice at your pace and in line with your experience. Others will be shown alternatives for each posture.
