Kura ki Pakihi: Activator #1
Event description
Activator Workshops
Activator workshops are all about supercharging student projects.
As a business tuakana (mentor) you can work with groups of students. Your role is to encourage them and challenge their thinking by asking the difficult questions, enabling them to make their projects better.
If you are able to be there for the whole day that would be fantastic, however if you can only spare a couple of hours or so it would still be valuable for the students.
Kura ki Pakihi is an initiative that uses a tuakana teina (a teaching and learning approach drawn from te ao Māori) model through which students can share their current experiences of technology and schooling to provide leadership in in business thinking as we seek to develop digital equity solutions. This includes a space where, businesses - as technology tuakana, invite them into what you are doing and thinking in the digital equity space together.
