KX Trail acknowledges the traditional owners of the land we gather and run within. We acknowledge 60,000 years of care, respect and stewardship of the Country that we experience when we run.
We pay our respects to elders past, present and future. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and support the treaty process - It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Location: DHARUG and GUNDUNGURRA COUNTRY
Blue Mountains National Park

Routes:

Two distance options, both intend to provide an on-course training opportunity for those racing UTA22 or UTA50.
Open to all, not just those racing.

Please select the appropriate distance ticket during checkout.

Both at no-one left behind pace.
Both starting from Carrington Park, and finishing at Cassiopeia Coffee.

What to bring:

If racing UTA, bring what you intend to use and race with during the event - Race day pack, mandatory gear, fuel and hydration plan.
If not racing, bring enough fuel and hydration for the given distance.

Something warm/dry is advised for the post run journey back to Central.

Public Transport:
Catch the 6:24am Blue Mountains Line train from Central Station to Katoomba station. Look out for others in trail running gear.
From Katoomba station, make your way to Carrington Park (10min jog, 15 min walk)

Driving:

lease ensure you are able to run the distance.

Running on trail is more challenging than running on roads.
We'll take regular stops to regroup - this is about time on the course and on feet, not a race pace simulation.

Gear Library:
We have a library of trail gear available you to borrow.
During the checkout for this event, you have the option to select a vest, waistbelt or trail shoes.

What to wear
:

  • Running clothes (necessary)
  • Trail running shoes (highly recommended)
  • Trail running pack (optional)
  • Light rain jacket (if raining)

What to bring:

  • Water/hydration in bottles (at least 500mL)
  • Snack (bar/s or gel/s)
