THIS DANCE FLOOR - is for those who hold - communities, businesses, families, babies and grand babies. For those juggling the washing with the after school activities, holding it all together. It's time to put it down. This is a celebration of life, of womanhood and all the paths we have walked so far. This dance floor is for WOMEN ONLY. It is a judgement free space of love, belly laughs and your wildest moves!

THIS MUSIC - Curated and expertly delivered by DJ Mark Sankhara. Mark is the creator of RITES OF DANCE an iconic conscious dance event on the Gold Coast. Our masculine pillar, in service to the music and what makes you move, makes you feel, stirs your nostalgia - the "oh I used to love this song" moments and, "This reminds me of.." Mixing tracks from the 80's, 90's 00's and weaving moments in between. Mark is not only an experienced DJ, he is someone who understands the magic of connection that music brings, and how to create a soundscape that is more of a journey than a playlist. You can expect heavy baselines, techno grooves, flashback daggy moments and auditory treasures you thought were lost long ago. THIS NIGHT - is drug and alcohol free. To allow for maximum presence, clarity and steady waves of natural endorphins. We will have iced tea and filtered water available throughout the night, free of charge.

THIS INVITATION - is open to all women. All ages. Babes in arms are welcome (earmuffs recommended for tiny ears). Please keep in mind that there will not be any children's activities or supervision available, also the music may contain themes and lyrics that may not be appropriate for those under the age of 18. We understand that finding childcare can be a total pain, but if possible please leave children in the loving care of a friend or relative. If this is not possible your little ones are welcome too. We have discount tickets for single mum's available - because we see you x

YOUR HOST

Hi there - This year I turn 40 and I have decided to throw a party! But this party is not for me, it's for you. It's for us. It's for women everywhere. A celebration of all things!

To be honest I have never done anything like this before. But I felt so inspired whilst dancing in my hallway to a heavy techno banger, I decided WE NEED THIS! We need a place to dance - no ceremony, no rules -just straight up, unfiltered, JOYFUL DANCE! An opportunity to unapologetically frolic in all that is human, in all that is woman.

I am supported by a kick-ass group of women who have brought this dance into reality. It is our dream to see you buckled over with laughter, holding hands with your bestie and hugging on the dance floor. This is our gift to you. Tickets for this event are as low as we can keep them, our intention it to cover costs and anything over that will be distributed amongst the amazing women who made this happen.

Please bring along a water bottle and energising snacks (for those who get peckish - dancing can be hungry work).

Dress for you! Whatever makes you feel comfortable - tracky pants, pj's, swishy skirts and ball gowns are all welcome and all celebrated.
