LA PLANTA CAFÉ…

is a new coffee space opening in Nelson - Latino themed, plant-based and, as organic and sustainable as possible.

I’ve decided to embark on this journey because I strongly believe that Latin culture has a lot to offer to the community and it needs a space to be represented.
We are in the era of going green and promoting sustainability. I think we can all agree that we want a better world for our children, and that's one of the main reasons why I want this to be a role model for other businesses in the area to be more environmentally conscious.

That’s why I’ve decided (basically felt morally obligated) to be the 1st to go ZERO single use cups, to create the outdoor furniture out of free pallets and also every decision that I make it will be trying to minimize waste, to choose eco-friendly and organic if possible; and to reuse or recycle as a priority.

And plant-based, well, why not? That’s where the future is heading. (The global plant-based food market is expected to reach a value of over 22 billion U.S. dollars in 2025). Plus, it is also much more eco-friendly, yay!
