She is a Clinical arts therapist in private practice and will be presenting about the profession of arts therapy and its place New Zealand’s mental health services. She will share some work from her practice to demonstrate how arts therapy works and will bust the myth that you have to be “good at art” to benefit from this approach. Jennie holds a Master of Arts in Arts Therapy and is a professional member of ANZACATA (Australia New Zealand and Asia Creative Arts Therapy Association) Her areas of specialisation are PTSD, grief and loss and palliative care. She works with rangatahi and adults in Tauranga Moana.
