    Lab Leaked Beats has been showcasing local, national and international electronic music artists for over a year now and has earned a reputation of being an intimate party with a big personality. Starting from grass-roots in Murwillumbah NNSW, Lab Leaked has grown into a close-knit community of electronic music lovers and genuinely beautiful people.

    You are invited to join us as we launch the Lab in Burleigh from 7pm Saturday 10th February till late.

    We're bringing you an epic line-up with producer/DJs John Baptiste (Melbourne) and Christopher Brooks (Sunshine Coast) headlining. Both are highly regarded in the international techno scene and we're thrilled to have them both with us for this premiere event! We also welcome Vibe Joy to the stage, originally from Brazil, a now local artist that is quickly gaining traction in the psy/bush techno scene. Keep an eye on this one! 

    Get ready to be fully immersed in mind-bending visuals and live performances. It's festival vibes all round!

    John Baptiste

    The John Baptiste sound takes form as cavernous depths, warmed with bold bass, afloat with playful buoyancy. Darkened techno is shrouded by cheekiness configured of clear-cut percussion, sliced with psychedelia and strong progressive expansions.

    John Baptiste transfused success into the turn of the decade. Not only did the notorious time see the release of his full length album ‘Invader’ with Samwise on Stone Seed (formerly Bassic Records) smash seven Top 10 charts including three #1 positions, but also his single ‘Time Machine’ on Open Records reach #1 in it’s genre’s Beatport chart and #3 in the Overall charts. It’s no surprise his creativity and skill in the studio has seen him pair with K.A.L.I.L, Luis M, Meat Katie, Breger, Jamie Stevens, Ben Coda and Steve Ward in the remix department.

    A proven fixture in the Australian scene over the past decade, John Baptiste has evolved with the local and international cultures, influencing his direction as equally as his own self exploration. Emerging as a sought after and respected producer, his original and remix projects have found homes with Stone Seed, Open, Recovery Collective, Digital Structures and onedotsixtwo amongst many other respected platforms.

    Voyaging throughout the many nationwide gatherings, John Baptiste has taken his lively diverse performances to Subsonic Music Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks, Elements, Chi Wow Wah Town, Esoteric, Babylon, Mushroom Valley and beyond. Passion and devotion to music drives the John Baptiste journey, with a constant burn to grow and thrive.

    Christopher Brooks

    Christopher Brooks, has original music signed to major Australian labels, Open Records, Bassic Records, Frisson Records and Late Night Music. Performing original Live sets as well as DJ sets. Christopher’s sound bind the grounds of Deep Progressive House and Minimal Techno, always responding to the environment and moment. Christopher co-curates the music bookings for Love Camp's notorious festival line ups, along side B2B bud, Butterz.

    Christopher tours up and down the east coast of Australia tearing through clubs and festivals with his distinctive dance floor sound, pleasing the ears and souls at Esoteric Festival, Elements Festival, Earth Frequency Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks, Love Camp, SASH, Sub Rosa, My Aeon, Breakfast Club, BushTechno, Revolver, Camp Paprika, Melt, Elsewhere Club and many other events/venues. He's played support DJ slots for internationals, such as Robert Babicz, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Henry Saiz, Danny Howells, Marc Marzenit, Max Cooper and Claude VonStroke, just to name a few... as well as top Australian artists such as, Doppel, ThankYou City, Jamie Stevens, Fabrication, Tom Baker, Unknown Concept, Biomass and many more.

    Christopher's interest and love of sound led him to a Bachelor of Music Technology degree at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he developed advanced skills in sound engineering, sound design and music composition. In addition to producing, touring original live sets and DJing, Christopher also runs and operates, Studio B, an audio specialist service for pre + post production, sound design, mixing and mastering for music, live sound, online advertisements and TV media.

    Vanessa Garcia aka Vibe Joy

    Deeply connected with music since her childhood, Vibe Joy is a Brazilian DJ based on the Gold Coast. Starting her journey as a professional DJ in 2016, she's been setting dance floors ablaze ever since.

    Vibe Joy's passion lies in creating an immersive sonic experience. Her sets are crafted with energy to bring moments of pure joy through her sweet, but strong beats. Beyond the decks, she delves into deep musical research, curating the finest tracks from deep underground psy-techno with a blend of progressive bush tech elements.
