Lab Skills Nights! - Bacterial Transformation of Plasmid DNA

To help work around busy schedules, two nights a month we will offer a hands-on learning experience of a specific technique. This month we will be offering Bacterial Transformation of Plasmid DNA! This is a crucial process for introducing DNA into cells and forms the basis for "cloning" DNA and for many steps of genetic engineering.

This will be an immersive hands-on class. Additional material will be available to help understand concepts and basic biology of this technique and applications. This class is appropriate for all (no experience necessary!) ages 12 and up!
