Event description

Now in its seventh year, the Victorian Life as a Clinician-Scientist Symposium will encourage and inspire medical and health sciences students, junior doctors, and health professionals, and early career researchers to better understand the life of a clinician-scientist, and how to pursue this rewarding career pathway.

Join us in Melbourne to learn about the many pathways to this exciting and rewarding career, which leads to a lifetime of challenge, discovery and fulfilment. Our expert presenters will also discuss how to master the skills necessary to succeed in combining clinical practice with medical research.

Our Fellows, alongside other senior, mid- and early-career researchers, will share their stories about how the unique combination of clinical medicine and science allows them to work with patients and take their insights from the bedside to answer fundamental scientific questions, then use those insights to improve patient care.

Registration includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Don’t miss your chance to hear from and meet with some of Victoria's ground-breaking researchers.

In-person registrations are limited. Register now to secure your spot.
