    Calling all ladies of Rainworth!

    Please join us for this inaugural and belated Mothers' Day event - The Rainworth Ladies' Cocktail and Grazing event - which aims to connect the mothers (and the teachers) of Rainworth State School over drinks and nibbles! And for any dads out there who are searching for the perfect Mothers' Day gift, look no further! Tickets to this fun event make the perfect present!

    The Rainworth Ladies' Cocktails and Grazing event is going to be a luxuriously long social event. It starts outdoors on the fabulous new Rainworth State School green space at 3pm and then, when the sun goes down, it moves inside the school hall where participants can stay both warm and entertained for the remainder of the evening! 

    We invite you to block out your afternoon and evening from 3pm to 9pm and join us for this fun and social event as part of the Rainworth State School community.

    Please note that this event is our major fundraising event for the year, as we have made a decision to only host the Rainworth Long Lunch every second year (the next Long Lunch will be in 2025). As such, we would love you all to come along to support this wonderful event and help raise valuable funds for our amazing school.  


    EVENT DETAILS

    Date: Saturday May 18, 2024

    Time: 3:00pm to 9:00pm

    Venue: Rainworth State School Green Space from 3pm to sunset, followed by entertainment in the school hall for the remainder of the event.

    Dress: Cocktail style or smart casual. No stiletto heels though, please, as we want to keep our green space looking new for as long as possible! So, please only wear flat shoes or wedges!

    Event set-up: This is a cocktail-style (stand up) event.

    Cost: Tickets are $79 per person (plus a booking fee, which goes to support children's charities). Tickets go on sale on Wednesday April 24 at 9am.

    Price includes: Fabulous long tables packed with self-serve catering so you can graze to your heart's content, plus a glass of champagne on arrival!

    Given this is a fundraising event, we like to be transparent as to what the ticket pays for and how much goes to fundraising. You may be surprised at how much it costs to run an event like this and some of the hidden costs you may not be aware of. Some of the fixed costs your ticket will pay for include RSA bar staff (and specialised cocktail makers!), equipment hire and catering items, the fabulous catering, a DJ, cold rooms, security, bins, signage, flyers, compliance letters etc. All remaining funds will directly profit the school and the final fundraising amount will be communicated a few weeks after the event once all expenses have been paid. 

    Note that adjustments will be made to the location of the drinks and grazing section of the event if rain is forecast to ensure all participants stay dry! 

    FOOD

    Our gorgeous long tables with be filled with catering that is especially designed for grazing. This catering is included in the price of the ticket and will be available for guests to graze on from 3pm to 5pm. For those wishing to stay longer into the night, a food truck will be available later in the evening to help stave off any post-grazing pangs. 


    DRINKS

    There will be a wide range of drinks available for purchase on the day, including cocktails, wine, champagne, beer and some non-alcoholic drinks. 

    Drinks at the event can be paid for in one of two ways. 

    1. Pre-purchase - Event participants can pre-purchase a cocktail voucher to save money and to help us with ordering quantities to avoid wastage (and therefore helping us to maximise our profits). As you can imagine, trying to work out what quantities of alcohol, mixers and garnishes etc. are needed for a large number of guests can be very difficult, so please help us out by pre-purchasing cocktails at the reduced price of $13 each. Please note that this is a savings for pre-paid cocktails only, as cocktails purchased on the day of the event via Eftpos will be $17 each. Pre-paid cocktail vouchers can be collected on arrival from the table located near after school care building. 

    2. Purchase on the day - Drinks can also be purchased from the bar on the day. Participants will be able to choose from a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which will be available to purchase via eftpos (no cash accepted, sorry!).

    Please note that there are strictly NO BYO drinks permitted at this event.


    ENTERTAINMENT

    There will be background music throughout the event and then a live DJ from 5:30pm, so make sure you are dressed for dancing! You'll also have a chance to win some fantastic raffle prizes.


    PURPOSE

    This event is a major fundraising event for Rainworth State School and all profits will go towards educational programs at the school.


    REFUNDS

    Please note that due to the limited time period between sales and the event date we regret that there are no refunds available on tickets for this event. Note that the event will still go ahead if it rains and that adjustments will be made to ensure everyone is warm and dry.
