Lake and Learn at Rymill Park

Join us at Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka (Park 14) for Lake and Learn - a fun and free event where families can discover the secrets behind the lake everyone loves.

Ever wondered how Rymill Lake stays so clear? Here’s your chance to find out! You’ll learn about the lake’s innovative design - how it now uses treated stormwater and a native-planted rain garden to filter its water naturally, replacing older costly methods.

Kids can get hands-on, asking questions and seeing real-world solutions in action, like the underground tanks, weirs for event flexibility, and energy-wise landscaping that keeps the lake beautiful and sustainable. Families can stroll the paths, spot ducks and soak up the park’s history along the way.

There is also the opportunity to share lunch with your hosts Holly Kate and Matt at the Quentin Kenihan Inclusive Playspace at the end of the tour (Optional and BYO).
