Lake Tom Thumb Nature Walk
Description
Join a leisurely stroll around Lake Tom Thumb for a morning of bird and plant ID and learning about local frogs and their habitats.
If you would like to learn how to use identification tools such as FrogID and iNaturalist, download the apps and practice using them during the event.
For all ages, no experience necessary.
What to bring: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and enclosed comfortable footwear. Be sun-safe and bring water. Please bring along binoculars if you have them, but there will also be some extras to share.
Meeting point: The entrance to Lake Tom Thumb on Butts Road, Eaglehawk
Walk distance / accessibility: We will be walking approximately 1km on an unsealed walking track surrounding the lake. For additional questions and requirements, please contact us.
Note: This event is weather-dependent and will be cancelled in the event of forecasted extreme weather or rain.
