Land Rover 75th Anniversary Rally & Wheels at Wanaka, 2023

Join us for an action-packed Land Rover 75th Anniversary Rally with exclusive off-road safaris exploring seldom accessed high-country stations around Wanaka.

PLEASE NOTE: We’ve had a massive response to Safari registrations and all Safaris are now FULLY BOOKED.   However, you can still register for Wheels at Wanaka and the LR75 Anniversary Rally at any time.

To participate in LR75 you must register and pay for both a Wheels at Wanaka pass (for each person attending), as well as the LR75 Rally registration fee (now only $10 fee for as many Landy’s as you’re bringing).

This is a Land Rover only event to celebrate 75 years of this iconic brand turning owners into mechanics!   All Land Rovers are welcome, from early Series Ones to Defenders, Discos and Range Rovers.

The L75 Anniversary Rally will be held in conjunction with Wheels at Wanaka, proudly presented by Three Parks, Wanaka. A biennial event, alternating every odd year Easter with Warbirds Over Wanaka International Air Show. Wheels at Wanaka is an ALL vehicle, ALL machinery “history-in-motion” vintage fair - including steam engines, tractors & farming heritage, cars of all sorts, motor-bikes, trucks, earthmovers and heavy machinery. Every Wheels entry receives a FREE Pass to the Highlands National Motorsports Museum.

LR75 Rally Programme:

• Tuesday 4 April: Rego and rally packs from 1.00pm at Wheels at Wanaka. Welcome BBQ & birthday cake from 4.00pm.
• Wednesday 5, Thursday 6 + Good Friday 7 April: Multiple Safari options over 3 days.
• Good Friday 7 April from 5.30pm: Sausage sizzle on a Land Rover BBQ.
• Easter Monday 10 April: Head for home or stay and enjoy Central Otago for a while longer.

Wheels at Wanaka 2023:

• Good Friday 7 April: Wheels at Wanaka 2023 Terra Cat Earthmoving Practise Day.
• Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 April: Wheels at Wanaka 2023 (Displays, parades & 4WD demo pit).
• Saturday 8 April from 5pm to 11pm: Shakedown in the Shed Exhibitor Awards - Food and beverages can be purchased there. (No BYO).

ENTRY FEES:

Wheels at Wanaka (3 Day Passes) = $25 per adult, inclusive of booking fee. You must register for Wheels to be eligible for the LR75 Rally.

• You may bring as many display vehicles as you can transport to Wheels at Wanaka’s main show days Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 April. Supporters/passenger passes are also available.
• Your pass includes FREE entry to the Terra Cat Earthmoving Practice Day (Friday 7 April) and Shakedown in the Shed Awards (Saturday 8 April).

LR75 Rally Registration: Now only $10 per driver + booking fee.

• Rego’s before 31 January 2023 receive ONE FREE VEHICLE STICKER
• Additional stickers may be purchased via the Wheels at Wanaka Shop

Safaris: Please note: All Safaris are now fully booked.

• LONG safaris have longer road travel to and from.
• Preference will be given to older/Series Land Rovers for SHORT safaris, which have shorter road travel to and from.
• Numbers for ALL safaris are limited.

ALL pass prices are inclusive of GST.

NEW LIMITED-EDITION MERCHANDISE (Exclusive to LR75): ORDERS NOW CLOSED. 

• PRE-ORDERED T-shirts, caps and additional vehicle stickers TO BE COLLECTED FROM RALLY. 
• LR75 Merch will NOT be available for order or purchase at the event.
  
• LR75 Merch must be COLLECTED on Tuesday 4 April from registration at Three Parks, Wanaka. 
• NO refunds for delivery costs, even if you paid for that option. Instructions were for collection only. Thank you. 

ACCOMMODATION Book Now (2 Options):

1. The Patiki area at the Outlet Camp Wanaka is held for LR75 Rally members.

2. Wheels at Wanaka has a campground for self-contained campers and caravans. You can purchase a $25 per person weekend pass here. Please note: Wheels at Wanaka is a no dog event.

FREE PASS TO HIGHLANDS:

Highlands, proud Gold Partner of Wheels at Wanaka, is providing all entrants who book their wheels, engines or machines online ONE FREE PASS to the Highlands National Motorsport Museum, valued at $30.

Highlands has 12 activities on site, a café and the famous Loo with a View. It caters to the whole family, so be sure to make time during the Easter weekend to visit Cromwell and experience all Highlands has to offer. Your Highlands pass is located inside your downloadable tickets. Conditions of Entry – Present your pass when you arrive at Highlands. This pass is valid from 1 April 2023 – 1 May 2023. It is not transferable, redeemable for cash, or able to be used in conjunction with another offer.
