Prion Audio presents the second iteration of Landing, an ambient+ event to showcase the side of electronic music that lives outside the dance floor, which includes genre’s spanning, but not limited to, ambient, downtempo and IDM. We seek to create a calm space where patrons can sit or lie down, melt into their bodies, and listen to music that sparks intrigue, wonder, introspection and connection with others. We hope the space provides a setting to bring together the music community we all adore, in a low impact and soothing environment.

Third Space (Live)

For the second iteration of this event, we are honoured to host Third Space on his ‘Scissor Kick’ LP launch tour . Third Space is the pseudonym of producer and Nice Setting label head Matt Sabbadini. Venturing away from the club ready sounds of 2021’s Pattern of Spring (Pure Space), Scissor Kick delivers careful introspection, experimentation, and rich conceptual development. The beatless interludes and expansive sound worlds that stuck out their heads on earlier releases are embraced in full here. It’s claustrophobic, but space is found in the right areas; tension and release to the nth degree, never becoming a trope. Percussion remains, but slowed to a crawl

Mija Healey

Mija Healey is a Sydney/ Eora based DJ who leans towards left-field and experimental sounds and champions versatility by constantly tackling new territory at every set. One can see her embrace of experimentalism through the breadth of variety in her recorded mixes and shows played in various settings this year, whether those be guerrilla raves or a sit-down ambient functions. Whatever the setting, Mija challenges the audience with each encounter unfolding as an almost cinematic journey.

Con Pani

Con Pani is a Sydney/Eora based DJ who embodies a certain eclecticism in their approach to DJ-ing, and through their recorded mixes, one can sense a critical intention behind every song. In their guest appearance on Kavil’s Skylab Show ‘ABSORB(ED)’, Con Pani traverses sounds of deep rhythms, soothing post punk, innocent strings and more in way that is gentle and gripping. Listeners are hooked, and delighted while listening, and each set is beautiful surprise.

Space:

This event will be held at @greenhousestudios in their beautiful Church space, a space that exhibits antique furnishings, high ceilings and ample lying down room

Visuals:

Antony Youssef (@antony.yous) is an Eora based Light Artist who will be creating a custom light installation for this event. Antony has a knack for creating surreal and immersive spaces through the use of light, transporting the patron out of reality momentarily. Of course the Prion Rig will be out in full fashion, attempting to translate signal in the most effective manner possible.

This is a safe space for people of all backgrounds, genders, sexuality, race and religion. Under no circumstances will harassment of anyone in the space tolerated. Bullying, violence, mental, sexual or physical abuse will not be tolerated in any form and perpetrators will be dealt with by immediate removal. If you experience any harassment, please immediately notify one of the Prion Audio members.

Accessibility:

The venue is wheelchair accessible, however the bathrooms are unfortunately not due to narrow doorways. There will also be no strobes, or fast changing lighting. The volume will be lower than usual, but we will still provide earplugs and also recommend bringing your own.
