From crafting the perfect resume to nailing interviews, these sessions will guide you through the steps for starting your Australian social work career.  

This online small group session will take you step-by-step through identifying your strengths, skills and experience, CV/resume preparation, application and interviewing for your first social work role. 

I am an Accredited Social Work Supervisor, and a hiring manager.  

Over the past 10 years I have interviewed more than 100 candidates for multiple social work and health care positions and I know what hiring managers look for.

This will be a working session in which you will review your CV, draft a Cover letter and discuss an application for a role that you are or will be applying for.

After participating in this session, you will:

• Increase your understanding of the Australian welfare system - specific to the sector/s you want to work in

• Shape your CV in a way which details your strengths, skills and experience

• Accurately use terminology common to social work applications and interviews

• Understand how to write successful applications for social work roles in the Australian context

• Receive interview tips from an experienced hiring manager
