Landscape Inspo Day 2024

Calling all lovers of landscape photography!

The Landscape Inspo Day is here to help inspire, educate and take your landscape photography to the next level. Featuring four speaker sessions full of ideas, tips, inspiration and motivation, you'll discover new ways of seeing, capturing and presenting landscape images. Plus, a sunset landscape photo shoot at Trigg Point will cap the day off with the opportunity for you to try your hand at the techniques and approaches covered by our speakers! 

This event kicks off at 10.30am at Team Digital with five speaker sessions. A light lunch is included, along with tea and coffee. In the afternoon, we head to Trigg Point for our sunset shoot, with the Inspo Day wrapping up at 6.30pm at Trigg Point.

SPEAKER SESSIONS

Exploring poetic simplicity in landscapes - Janine Dawes

Award-winning fine-art photographer, Janine Dawes, will show you how to create beautiful and simple landscapes using long exposures. Her images taken in Australia and overseas have a beautiful grace and simple elegance to their composition, and she will be sharing how she achieves this, along with finding intimate landscapes and converting images to black and white.

The heartfelt landscape: A journey in landscape photography - Seng Mah

Venture's own Seng Mah focuses on the importance of vision, light and composition in framing and creating landscapes. You'll discover how to declutter your landscapes and the importance of capturing landscapes that resonate with your feelings and aesthetics as a photographer. Seng will also discuss his own personal evolution as a photographer of landscapes, and share his top tips for capturing landscapes unique to your vision.

Art from the air: Photographing aerial landscapes with the drone - Scott McCook

Discover the beauty of shooting aerial landscapes with the drone with multi-award-winning photographer, Scott McCook. Scott's work has been exhibited and sold internationally and he will be showing us how to capture and create impactful aerial landscapes. Learn what to look for in the aerial landscape, and how to plan and prepare for your drone flight to maximise your ability to capture stunning landscapes from the air. 

Outside the box: Landscapes of the Imagination - Susi Nodding

Join award-winning photographic artist Susi Nodding for a journey through the creative processes in the creation of imaginative landscapes. Go beyond representation and depiction to discover how you too can bring meaning, message and ideas into the crafting of landscapes that prompt curiosity and pique the imagination.

Bringing the aerial landscape to life (editing session) - Scott McCook

To follow up on his presentation, Scott will also go through the key editing and post-processing steps and techniques he uses to bring his drone aerial landscapes to life. If you enjoy aerial landscape photography, you must not miss this!

SUNSET SHOOT

Our sunset shoot will take place at Trigg Point, where you'll have the opportunity to explore the limestone studded coastline and use the ideas, tips and techniques you have learned. For this shoot, you will need your tripod and neutral density filters.
