Join us on the 4th of November for a screening of Lanfranchi’s Memorial Discotheque (2010) Dir. Richard Baron. A film documenting the last sixty days of Sydney's favourite artist-run space.
Open between 2002 and 2007, Lanfranchi’s Memorial Discotheque was an artist-run space located in Chippendale. During this time it was a dedicated studio and performance space for a diverse collective of musicians, visual, sound and new media artists, as well as writers, journalists, arts workers and music publishers. In 2007, property development forced the closure of Lanfranchi’s. Baron’s film documents the last sixty days before their eviction.
