Event description
During this event, we are bringing together First Nations peoples to address questions around language, identity and country, and how it links to Indigenous leadership and advancement at our university.
The event will include explorations of Indigenous rights and culture via the mediums of hip hop, experimental electronic elements and various sound design. It also highlights different stories of Indigenous Peoples and their experiences in our academic world.
The event runs on 20 August, between 4pm and 6pm in the Campus Centre Cinema.
4:00-4:10pm Welcome and introductions
4:10-5:00pm Musical performance and Storytelling
5:00-5:20pm Break + networking with light refreshments
5:20-6:00pm Interactive panel conversation about language, identity and country, and how it links to Indigenous leadership and advancement at our university
Special guests include Blayne Welsh and Neil Morris.
