Lantern-making workshop @ Denmark CRC
Description
Get ready to join Carrying the Fire on 7 November 2026 in Albany.
Join us in a workshop to create a lantern to carry at the event. Following simple designs and guided by our artists, you will create a beautiful lantern that can clip onto your mobile phone or a torch. Each lantern is inspired by our coastline and country. Bring your own creative flair as you create a lantern that represents a sea star or kwornt (a traditional Menang shelter).
All materials provided. Reserve your spot in one of our FREE workshops held at The Denmark CRC.
Tuesday, 29th September:10 am - 11:30 am. Sea Star Lantern Workshop
(Suited for participants aged 4 - 12 years. Participants must be supervised by a caregiver)
Tuesday, September 29th: 12:30pm - 2:30pm. Kwornt Lantern Workshop
(Suited for participants aged 12 +. Participants under 12 will require assistance from a caregiver)
