Event description

Step into the stories at Lanyon Homestead and experience the landscape and history of Canberra before it became the nation’s capital. Discover the stories of the people who lived and worked here and be immersed in the colonial interiors of the 1850s homestead and outbuildings. 

View the ACT Historic Place Art Prize Exhibition - 30 July until 15 October - Prize finalists' works will be exhibited at Lanyon Homestead.

Follow your tour with a stroll through the kitchen gardens or a coffee at the Barracks Café.

All visitors MUST book a ticket, including children of all ages.
