Description

Overview:
Families flourish when the right foundations are in place. In this live, in-person workshop, Dr Ruth McConnell explores four essential ingredients that support family wellbeing, particularly in seasons of stress.

Together we'll reflect on:

  • Right Relationships – Healthy relationships as the foundations for all family flourishing

  • Soft Hearts – Ability to feel and tolerate vulnerable emotions

  • Rest – Importance of rest (both physical and psychological) for families to flourish

  • Play – How play heals us and playful ways to discharge stress in families

Who this workshop is for:

This session is designed for parents and caregivers, counsellors, social workers, therapists, educators and others supporting families across Aotearoa.

Presenter:
Dr Ruth is a returning facilitator whose sessions are practical, reflective, and deeply grounded in real-life experience. Her December 2025 webinar that she conducted for us received wonderful feedback.

“This was incredibly useful training for me in my work and to share with my team. Lovely presenter and great link from theory to practice.”

“Really appreciate Dr. Ruth McConnell's presentation and rich experiences in attachment therapy. Hope to learn more from her in the future.”
