Event description

Calling all fashion-loving residents 🙋‍♀️💗🙋‍♂️ of the Town of Cottesloe, Town of Claremont, Town of Mosman Park, Shire of Peppermint Grove and City of Subiaco:

Do you want to know more about being sustainably stylish? Have you got clothes, shoes, and accessories you no longer wear? 👗👔👟 Want the joy of a refreshed wardrobe, without the spend? Then join WMRC's Late Night Swapping event featuring guest presenter and Feelgood Fashionista, Loraine Martin, who was Highly Recommended at the 2023 Waste Sorted Awards 💃♻️🙌!  Loraine will answer your questions about textile waste, the circular fashion economy and give you tips on how to find those hidden gems at a clothing swap or op shop 🛍️💎.

How it works:

1) Register for a ticket and look through your cupboards to find good-quality items you no longer wear to bring to the swap.

2) Join us at Solaris Cancer Care Op Shop between 5.30 pm - 6 pm and hand your clothes over to be weighed and sorted by our lovely volunteers. You can also have a pre-shop at the Solaris' Op Shop before the talk starts at 6 pm.

3) Have a seat in the presentation room while the volunteers sort the clothing for the swap.

4) Relax and enjoy Loraine the Feelgood Fashionista discussing textile waste and the power of building your wardrobe.

5) Move to the swap room and browse the clothing racks at your leisure between 7 pm - 8 pm.
