    Event description

Hear Rod Pilois play Latin-Jazz on guitar and light percussion then join in the interactive drum workshop to be part of the performance.

Would you like some Latin-Jazz guitar & percussion with your Saturday lunch?

Come and hear chill-out tunes, grooves and soulful rhythms with Rod Pilois. Rod is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and music educator who performs regularly on drum-kit, percussion and guitar. On select Saturday lunchtimes, he will be performing a combination of music repertoire in the Latin-Jazz genre on acoustic guitar (covers and originals) as well as some light percussion pieces.

Each of Rod’s lunch hour music sessions will include a performance followed by an interactive drum workshop to finish up the program, enabling everyone to join in and be part of the performance. It’s for everyone who would like to take part in the workshop and create some great rhythms together as a community.

Rod Pilois is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and music educator. He performs regularly on drum kit, percussion and guitar. When Rod is not performing his chill-out tunes in Latin-Jazz, he can be seen drumming with Beat Factor Drum Group (African/Brazilian) Johnny Longshot (Jamaican Ska) Gaia The Band (Reggae) around Melbourne. In 2018 he started the community drumming group (Beat Factor Drum Group) in the Western suburbs.

Grab your lunch in the Werribee CBD, and join in an interactive all-inclusive workshop. Participation is free. Book in advance. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
