Laugh Shack at The Love Shack – Comedy Night in Castlemaine

Laugh Shack at The Love Shack – Comedy Night in Castlemaine

We're back! Our November Laugh Shack event features a line-up of character and sketch comedians, bringing their alt-comedy skits and quick-witted stand-up to Castlemaine. Audiences will get a taste of the variety that the Melbourne comedy scene has to offer in Love Shack’s bistro - fitted out as a classic comedy room with drinks and dinner delivered to the table.

Karen From Finance - Your host, Karen From Finance, is the premiere ‘corporate’ queen of Melbourne, Australia. She lives alone with her budgie ‘Dantè’ and enjoys tax time, office-based bonding activities, and invoice archiving. Karen placed as one of the top 4 finalists in season one of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under which took to international airways in May 2021. She recently completed a three year international tour of her award-winning debut solo comedy ‘Out Of Office’ as well as being cast in the touring version of the UK West-End smash hit ‘Death Drop’. After touring the world for many years, both as a solo artist and in ensemble productions, headlining tours around Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the UK and USA, Karen is currently embarking on further international touring with her sophomore solo show ‘Doing Time’.

Hannah Camilleri - Hannah Camilleri is a total fool and really excited to be performing in Castlemaine for the first time. An award-winning alt. comedian who doesn’t know what’s going on but commits fully—for you, Castlemaine.

Issy Carney - Isabelle is a writer and performer from Melbourne. She has written for Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell (ABC), Hard Quiz (ABC) and Talkin’ Bout Your Gen (Network 10). She features regularly on ABC Radio Evenings with David Astle, and co-hosts Crawlspace Comedy in Collingwood with Charlie Valentine.

Oliver Coleman - Oliver Coleman is a very funny comedian. He has toured his shows all around Australia and internationally to the UK. His show Goof was nominated for Best Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2024. You can watch a videotaped version of that show on ABC IView. He thinks Castlemaine is a nice town and he is happy to be doing comedy there.

Con Coutis - From winning awards at festivals all over Australia, to appearing on Channel 10’s“Talkin’ Bout Your Gen” - Con Coutis is performing a lot of comedy at the moment. And on November 29th, he is gonna do it again.

Charlie Valentine - Charlie Valentine is perhaps Melbourne’s most annoying comedian. Sorry I meant to type ‘attractive’ but it autocorrected. Warm, spontaneous, and relentless; Charlie Valentine is one of the best comics on the rise at the moment. Sorry I meant to type ‘worst’ but it autocorrected.
