Do you want to bring more laughter and joy into your life? Laughter Yoga is the right choice for you. This is an exercise program developed by Indian physician Dr Madan Kataria where anyone can laugh without relying on humour, jokes or comedies.
It combines laughter exercises with yoga breathing techniques (Pranayama) which brings more oxygen to our body and brain making us feel more energetic and healthy.
Just 10 to 15 minutes of Laughter Yoga exercises can reduce stress, make your immune system stronger, and keep your mind positive during challenging times.
ABOUT Dr. Madan Kataria
Dr. Madan Kataria is the founder of the laughter yoga club movement that started in 1995 in Mumbai.
Dr. Kataria modernized some of the work of earlier laughter pioneers who taught very similar concepts starting in the 1960's. Today, Laughter Yoga is found in more than 120 countries worldwide.
He is a sought-after keynote and motivational speaker for corporations and organizations around the world, and has conducted seminars and workshops for UBS, Emirates Bank, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and Volvo, among many others. Dr. Kataria has also been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, and ABC, and is associated with an increasing number of medical research projects analyzing the benefits of laughter.
Retired from medical practice, he devotes all of his time to writing, teaching, coaching, and training laughter leaders in order to foster the spread of laughter clubs. He is the creator of the immensely popular World Laughter Day, which is celebrated on the first Sunday of every May.
