Event description

The University of Queensland is proud to be launching its inaugural Disability Inclusion Research and Innovation Plan!

The establishment of the Plan is a core component of the University’s Disability Action Plan 2023-2025. In drafting the Plan, we've consulted widely across the organisation over the last nine months in order to centre the voices and experiences of UQ research and professional staff and HDR students with a lived experience of disability.

The Plan will be officially launched by Professor Paul Bonnington, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure), and the event will be co-hosted by Professor Pauline Ford, Deputy Provost, and Professor Paul Harpur OAM, Chair, UQ Disability Inclusion Group.

The event will be catered, with a pre-launch tea and coffee and light post-launch canapes, and there will be opportunities to network with fellow disability inclusion researchers and stakeholders before and after the event.

In addition, there will be an afternoon program consisting of a series of events comprising a Disability Research Symposium. See below for specific information relating to each event, along with links to register (note that this is a separate registration process to the launch of the Plan).
