LAYERS: A Transpersonal Breathwork Immersive experience of release, discovery, awareness & self healing

This full day Breathwork immersion offers participants an opportunity to drop below the surface layers of our modern, fast paced lives and spiral bit by bit into the deeper, wiser and self healing layers of our subconscious world.

This experience offers the chance to loosen the grip of our minds and drop into the physical, energetic, emotional and spiritual layers of awareness and being. We will use the power of Transpersonal Breathwork (also know as Conscious Connected Breathwork), embodiment and bioenergetic release practices, deep listening circles and meditative breathing practices to (re)experience the deeper essence of ourselves and life.

Participants will be invited to bring an intention for something they would like to work on (explore, release, take care of, get clarity around, invite in, reclaim or nourish). Through each of the Breathwork journeys we will dive into the layers of these intentions and utilise the natural healing process of the connected breath, kind awareness and gentle facilitation.

What is Transpersonal Breathwork?

Transpersonal Breathwork is a practice that uses the breath to drop below the chatter of the mind and the pace of the modern world. It is a practice of using our breath to strongly activate our inner life force (prana) and allow it to bring up and release that which is no-longer needed (such as unfelt emotions, stuck energy, stagnant lifeforce, deeply help tension, unprocessed distress, limiting beliefs). Bringing us into healthy relationship with this material enables us to release it, reframe it and resolve it, fostering spaciousness on the inside for new and often loving experiences and beliefs.

It's a powerful practice for shedding what no longer serves you, clearing the path to wholehearted living. When guided by an experienced and safe facilitator, this ancient technique empowers us to navigate through the layers of consciousness, releasing unhelpful patterns/energy, feeling the unfelt, unlocking profound insights and vitality, and fostering personal and spiritual growth.

This type of Breathwork is NOT meditation. It is a dynamic, body based, feeling focused modality.

Why consider a Breathwork immersion?

An immersion experience enables you to go deep and deeper into this important and powerful state of connection and healing. The two Breathwork journeys will build on each other, moving through layers of material towards a more expanded sense of self and connection.

The embodiment, bioenergetic and meditative breathing practices offered during the workshop are designed to support us to drop with more ease into our breath and our deep body intelligence. These practices will support us to shift the sometimes challenging layers of mental energy, daily stressors and holding patterns that can have us all feeling hectic and disconnected. By giving us time to nourish and release these layers of tension we will be supporting the Breathwork journeys to be more accessible, deeper and ultimately more powerful (this does not mean more intense rather it means more effective).

Why Group Breathwork can be helpful?

Group Breathwork is a useful practice for:

working with unhelpful, held or stuck emotional material;
unlocking your life force and sense of vitality;
discharging stress, tension, anxiety, depression or stuck energy;
accessing and digesting unprocessed distressing experiences from the past;
understanding and repatterning limiting behaviours or thought processes;
using group energy to go deeper into your own process;
addressing relational material and experiencing being supported in a group setting;
working with and releasing ancestral, family systems and transpersonal wounds;
exploring consciousness and life questions; and
improving general well-being and health.

What to bring?

a thick yoga mat (or thick blanket) to lie on
a blanket to put over you whilst breathing
a drink bottle
an eye mask (optional)
a yoga bolster or cushion to sit on
a journal and pen for reflections
your lunch
curiousity and an open mind

NB: You will be lying on a hard wooden floor for approximately 2 x 90mins so bring whatever you need to make your body comfortable. If you are unable to lie on the floor the practice can be modified for a chair (please let the facilitator know before the event).

Breathwork is NOT suitable for:

people with cardiovascular problems, pregnancy, some psychiatric conditions, psychosis, recent surgery or fractures, acute infectious illness or epilepsy, severe hypertension, glaucoma, or active spiritual emergency.

The Facilitator:

Amber Nomchong is a certified one-on-one and group breathwork practitioner, Holistic Psychotherapist and Counsellor, Rewilding Facilitator and Women's Empowerment Educator. She is a registered practitioner with the Australian Breathwork Association and the International Breathwork Foundation. Amber is committed to safe, ethical and inclusive offerings.

Accessibility:

- The venue is wheelchair accessible and the practice can be modified for those with accessibility restrictions. Please let us know your needs BEFORE the event so we can make suitable arrangements. The immersion will be have participants sitting and lying on a wooden floor. Chairs can be made available for those who prefer, please let Amber know before the event.

- Please note that loud and dynamic music will be played at times during Breathwork journeys. If you are not comfortable with loud noise it may be beneficial to try a one on one Breathwork session (email Amber to discuss).

- This is a trauma sensitive event and the facilitator is trauma trained. Please note that if you are very uncomfortable being around other people experiencing emotional release you might like to consider a personal Breathwork session.
