LayLow Presents: ARIANE MAMON

Ariane Mamon and her electrifying jazz fusion quintet create hypnotic and visceral epics led by her powerful vocals. Her music embodies her raw sensory experience of the natural world, which she recreates through transcendental rhythms and infectious melodies, inspired by the likes of Pat Metheny, Björk, and Esperanza Spalding.

Ariane Mamon is a French-American jazz vocalist, composer, and performance artist based in Glasgow. Born in Paris, but later moved to Boston to study jazz vocals at Berklee College of Music, Mamon has fused her mastery of the voice and skill for improvisation and composition, in creating unique ethereal and electrifying jazz compositions, where she extends her voice as a melodic instrument. 
Her music has been featured on Jazz FM, Soho Radio, and BBC Radio Scotland, and on the 2022 jazzahead! "Scottish Jazz Playlist". She was short-listed for the 2022 Peter Whittingham Jazz Award, and since 2023 she's been performing with Nimbus Sextet, with performances at Ronnie Scott's, Pizza Express Jazz Club, and headlining for the 2024 Made in Scotland Wide Days Showcase during the Edinburgh Fringe.
