    Annual General Meeting of the Life Cycle Association of New Zealand

    Please join us for this year’s free LCANZ AGM on Wednesday 11th September 2024 from 3pm to 6pm at Mott Macdonald, L2 Boardroom, 2/139 Packenham Street West, Auckland CBD. 

    The AGM will be principally an in-person event, but a videocall link will be provided to all registered members who are unable to attend in-person. 

    In addition to the AGM, we are excited to hold a presentations session from our LCANZ members (4pm-5pm). See details below. This event is by open invitation to both members and non-members.

    LCANZ member presentations

    Our member Studio Pacific Architecture will give a presentation on ‘Navigating Carbon Assessment and LCA in the Architectural Design Process' where they explore carbon benchmarking in architectural projects, including current initiatives and future plans (typology-based strategies). They will show applications of life cycle analysis in landscape architecture and whole-of-life carbon assessment in residential masterplans.

    Madeline Furness, an environmental engineer working in the water infrastructure industry at Pattle Delamore Partners in Christchurch. She recently completed her PhD in Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment from the University of Canterbury Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering in Christchurch together with the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso school of Biochemical Engineering in Chile. She will present her PhD research ‘Quantifying Life Cycle Sustainability Impacts of the Wastewater Circular Economy in Chile’, comparing three scenarios: wastewater discharge without treatment, conventional treatment, and biofactory wastewater circular economy configurations. She used Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA), combining environmental, social, and economic indicators.
