25 Years of Caring for the Leschenault Catchment

Join us in celebrating 25 Years of Caring for the Leschenault Catchment, as we gather staff, board, members and supporters for an evening of presentations, celebration and fundraising. Beautiful food and drinks at the Old Lyric, and a night to reflect on what we’ve achieved together, as well as recognise environmental stewards when we present our 2026 Community Awards.

To help celebrate, we are thrilled to welcome scientist, storyteller, and filmmaker Kurt Krispyn - recently nominated for WA Young Australian of the Year - as our keynote speaker!

Hear from Kurt on his extensive research of south-west estuaries, discussion of local fish biology, stories from his filmmaking around the world and ultimately how we can apply lessons he's learnt to protect our waterways.

Plus, we will be drawing the lucky winners of our Shorebird Project Raffle, fundraising to help keep our citizen science project alive, monitoring food availability in the Leschenault Estuary for resident and migratory shorebirds.

Members (and all interested) are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting starting at 5pm, before the main celebration and presentations begin at 5.30pm.

Snacks and drink on arrival included. This community event is open to all.

Tickets are $15 for members, and $25 for non-members, Not an LCC Member? Sign up for free here: www.leschenaultcc.org.au/become-an-lcc-member
