We talk about sustainability and closing the loop, yet we still rely on our very linear and extractive economy: resources flow in from regional areas, and waste flows back out.

But what is our relationship with the materials we use and discard every day? We have an “out of sight, out of mind” culture, which looks like this:

⛰️ Landfills sit on the outskirts.
💩 Incineration emissions drift across peri-urban and rural landscapes.
🐠 Litter moves from cities to waterways, then to oceans.

What if the circular economy lies not in closing a loop but in flipping a switch!?

You are invited to a Collective Enquiry:

🟠 Trash Talk! Rethinking Cities From the Waste Up 🟠

In these sessions you will have the opportunity to explore bold ideas for waste-integrated urban futures that are socially just, environmentally resilient, and radically practical.

Rather than technical solutions, this conversation is designed as a collective space for systems thinking around what liveable cities could become if waste was treated not as an afterthought but as an opportunity for transformation.

Perfect for anyone working in town planning, architecture, land development or local government; and those curious or passionate about waste management, and keen to start a 'zero-waste' journey.

Step into a collaborative, imaginative space where waste is not a problem to manage, but a spark for re-inventing how cities live, and thrive. Help shape cities where no waste is left behind!
