Workshop 4: Proactive Performance Management

This workshop has been developed to assist new leaders to better identify, act upon and manage performance and interpersonal issues in the workplace.

It will take a close look at the following:

• Causes of conflict and poor performance
• Conflict resolution styles, understand your style and when to adapt
• Using feedback to change behaviour
• Strategies to assist in addressing performance and interpersonal issues
• Questioning techniques to identify individual challenges and solutions
• Providing support

Learning Outcomes

• Know and understand causes of conflict and performance issues
• Proactively identify and resolve issues prior to escalation
• Apply conflict resolution and performance improvement strategies
• Greater confidence recognising potential conflict and dealing with conflict in the workplace
• More effectively demonstrate empathy when communicating with others
