Event description
Making Good Decisions in Key moments - The MolyCop Safety Journey
How to create the ability and environment for people to make good decisions in key moments.
Industry has over the last few decades has made large strides to improve safety. Developed and implemented systems, processes, integrated management systems, investigation and engineered countermeasures.
However - people still hurt themselves. A moment of inattention, a large movement, a simple lack of thought, or someone trying to rush and get it done without the proper controls or tools.
The response is typically an investigation and often punishment for not following the process. Often the operator was trying to do the right thing, but made a poor choice in a key moment.
In this presentation Nigel on will discuss this innovative approach that seeks to improve the attention and decision making of Team Members, Team Leaders, and Managers. Reducing the risks that the humans bring with them to the shift.
This innovative approach will be outlined through the implementation at MolyCop Waratah.
