What are the fundamental differences in mindset between entrepreneurial businesses and run-of-the-mill corporates?
This will be the focus of Jims’s discussion. A reflection of the lessons he has learnt along the way – particularly focused on the comparative experiences of leading businesses for entrepreneurs such as the Smorgon family, Ulrich Otto, Graeme Hart and John and Michael Borg as compared to working in large corporates such as ACI, Amcor and Carter Holt Harvey.

Jim is a seasoned business leader with a background in the NSW State Government, advancing through several key roles in private and public manufacturing sectors.
For the past 12 years, he's led Borg Manufacturing, a rapidly growing Australian firm founded in 1989, now employing 2300 people.
Past roles include CEO of Carter Holt Harvey Wood Products Australia, General Manager with Amcor Flexibles, MD for Otto Plastics and GM at ACI NZ Glass manufacturers and more.
During his career, Jim has driven performance improvement programs on the back of his absolute commitment to success driven by a common sense of purpose, cohesive teamwork, employee engagement and sincere customer relationship management.
