Leadership Event | VIC Forum - Condition-based Maintenance

This event has passed Register

Event description

This leadership event will focus on condition-based monitoring

Condition-based maintenance is a strategy that monitors the actual condition of an asset to determine the required maintenance actions.

Many organisations are on this journey and have seen the benefits of this approach when compared to the traditional time-based approach.

Rapid advances in such technologies are enabling significant improvements in reliability, efficiency and cost.

No matter where you are in your Condition-based maintenance plan, this IPA VIC State forum will be an essential event in your calendar.

Attendees will have ample opportunity to:

  • Have open discussions on where they are in their ‘Maintenance evolution’
  • Watch and participate in presentations on
    • The foundations of your maintenance program
    • Emerging technologies that can improve the outcomes
  • Participate in break out sessions with peers for more in depth learning

For this state forum, we will be joined by Simon Murray from Your Maintenance Coach who will help us understand how to extend the curve.

PRESENTER 1:

     Simon Murray
Reliability Coach | Your Maintenance Coach
     LinkedIn Profile

     Website

Simon Murray has spent the last 25 years building, leading and coaching high-performance maintenance teams in manufacturing.

In 2012, after many years of getting factories out of reactive mode, he started Your Maintenance Coach so that he could help more teams to be successful. With a goal of ensuring that no maintenance manager gets woken up in the middle of the night with the dreaded breakdown call and there is no blame and arguments in the daily operations meetings.
While Simon trains and coaches in all aspects of Reliability Excellence, planning and scheduling is the area where he spends most of his time. This is because he knows, after working with dozens of teams around the world that it is this daily discipline that will form the foundation for all of your future improvements.

PRESENTER 2:

     Rafe Britton
     Technical Specialist | Lubrication
     LinkedIn Profile

     Website

Rafe Britton transforms machines into well-oiled machines. He's known within the industry for his YouTube channel and podcast, and for helping mid-size industrials achieve lubrication excellence.

His consulting is purposefully brand independent and sells no lubricant, filter, sensor or hardware. Rafe has helped dozens of industrial clients transform one of their smallest maintenance expenses into a productive asset - improving reliability, sustainability and profitability across the business. He teaches that the key to this success is managing all aspects of a lubricant’s lifecycle - procurement, selection, storage, handling, analysis and disposal.
Rafe sees a lot of value being left on the table by condition monitoring teams when it comes to oil analysis. Almost all businesses are paying for and collecting samples, but few are actually harnessing the insights that are available when interpreting results. Let’s fix that.
