LEADER AS A COACH - becoming a facilitative leader
Considered an essential capability for 21st century leaders, coaching skills enable leaders to foster learning and growth in their people and teams. Incorporating a coaching style enables leaders to empower others, delegate more effectively and inspire greater commitment and ownership. Organisations with a culture of coaching also benefit from higher overall engagement.
Our half day program will introduce the key elements of a coaching leadership style and show you how to incorporate this into your everyday role. Rather than adding a new task to your already full schedule, we will show you how to shift existing conversations using coaching skills.
You will leave with practical strategies to:
- Listen with curiosity and ask great questions.
- Apply the GROW coaching model and adjust it as the context requires.
- Coach on the run – in the brief moments where a bigger conversation is not possible.
- Adjust your coaching style to suit different purposes (e.g. coaching for performance, career planning, change etc).
- Consolidate your coaching skills so they become a habit.

Cancellation
We understand situations can change and hope they don’t affect your ability to attend the program. If the intended participant is unable to attend, a substitute from the same organisation may attend in their place at no additional charge.
