Event description

Leading Change: How to bring your team with you when change is needed.

Supporting leaders to find the best way forward through change that ensures our staff and volunteers feel a part of it.

We will look at strengths and values-based change and what that looks like in this current environment in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Debbie Ngarewa-Packer, in the Herald newspaper, recently said, “Leadership is a position that demands strength, empathy and responsibility. The values of compassion and justice are central to leadership too”.  When we are needing to make changes, these values need to inform our choices and the process of communicating, negotiating and bringing the team into the discussions early on, so they feel a sense of ownership of the changes.

This workshop will focus on how to 'do change' well and what makes for effective and respectful change processes.

We will draw on your change experiences and discuss how you may do them differently, what drives change, and how we find a way that ensures changes don't feel that they are 'done to us'!?  Mahatma Gandhi said “Be the change you wish to see in the world”.

Date: May 22

Time: 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Venue: Heart of the Bays, Browns Bay. Rothesay Room.
