Leading Change Without Causing Harm | Melbourne
Description
Lead change without causing harm.
Poorly managed organisational change is explicitly named as a psychosocial hazard in Australian WHS regulation, and in Victoria, under the Occupational Health and Safety Amendment (Psychological Health) Regulations. Managing the harm change creates is now a compliance expectation, not a nice-to-have. Yet the people who lead and advise on change are rarely trained for it. This one-day workshop closes that gap.
Who it is for
Change managers and transformation and project leads, HR and OD practitioners, WHS and safety professionals, and leaders running restructures or major change.
What you will walk away able to do
Recognise where change creates psychosocial risk, using the Trident Psychosocial Change Model.
Assess any change and design controls that stand up to scrutiny.
Quote for, win and deliver change work with the confidence that it meets WHS obligations.
How the day works
You will work through two realistic case studies. The first we walk through together, where you will practise assessing and controlling psychosocial risk on a change initiative step by step. The second your table works as a team, applying the model end to end and defending your controls.
Why it pays off
PwC's analysis for Beyond Blue found $2.30 returned for every $1 invested in a mentally healthy workplace, with other analyses ranging up to $4, while Safe Work Australia data shows psychological claims cost around four times more than other claims and run far longer.
