Leah Boyd, Group General Counsel, Crown Resorts

Leah Boyd commenced her role as the Group General Counsel for Crown Resorts in June 2023. Prior to joining Crown, Leah worked for CBRE where she held the role of General Counsel for 7 years. Leah has more than 25 years’ experience working in complex and highly regulated industries, including gaming and commercial real estate.

Lucinda Gemmell, Chief People Officer, Seven Network

Lucinda is the Chief People & Culture Officer at Seven West Media. Prior to this she held CPCO roles at Airservices Australia and Virgin Australia Group. Lucinda has more than 25 years of progressive HR and commercial leadership experience in Australia and Asia Pacific including Executive roles with Woolworths Ltd, Diageo Asia Pacific and Fairfax Media. Lucinda holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Lucinda was awarded 2014 Australian HR Director of the Year at the Australian HR Awards. In 2020, Lucinda was named in Human Resources Director Global 100 List. Lucinda is a Non-Executive Director of the Starlight Children’s Foundation and is also the Chair of the Remuneration & Nomination Committee.

Sophie MacIntosh, Group Executive, Legal, Risk and Corporate Affairs, Smartgroup

Sophie joined Smartgroup in 2016 and is a member of the Executive Team with a portfolio covering legal, risk, corporate affairs, sustainability, privacy and company secretarial. Smartgroup is an ASX200 Company which provides a range of employee benefits including salary packaging, novated leasing and fleet management to over 4,000 organisations employing around 2 million people across Australia.

Sophie is an experienced legal and governance professional with over 25 years’ experience working across global law firms and corporates, including Ashurst and DLA Piper. Sophie holds a Masters in Law from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Business (Finance) from The University of Technology, Sydney. Sophie is also a Director of the Smartgroup Foundation, the National Automotive Leasing and Salary Packaging Association and the NORTH Foundation.

Sally Moten, Partner, Lander & Rogers

Sally has extensive experience working with clients in the public and private sector, in the areas of employment law, industrial relations, safety and administrative law. She prides herself on understanding the business of her clients to ensure she provides a practical and solutions-focussed approach.

Sally's areas of expertise include all matters relating to employment, discrimination, disputes and termination of employment, industrial relations and employee entitlements, defending underpayment claims, investigating workplace misconduct, providing training on all workplace issues, workplace health and safety advice and response to incidents.

She regularly presents at client and external seminars on various aspects of employment law.
