Leaf Making--Let’s Stitch for Our Forests — GET WILD ABOUT WETLANDS
Event description
Leaf Making – Let’s Stitch for Our Forests
Join activist-artist Mary Ann Rath for a joyful day of creative stitching and show your support for our native forests—one handcrafted leaf at a time.
This relaxed, drop-in workshop invites everyone—kids, families, friends, and solo adults alike—to create beautiful leaves using fabric, paper, and recycled materials. Whether you sew, stitch, glue, or paint, each handcrafted leaf becomes a statement of care and a tribute to our forests. Sessions can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on your pace and how many leaves you’d like to make.
You're welcome to take your leaf home, wear it as a symbol of forest protection, or donate it to a growing community art movement. Donated leaves help raise awareness at events across WA and celebrate the dedicated work of Mary Ann Rath and her creative allies—passionate advocates for preserving our native forests through art and action.
