BMA’s online, self-paced certification courses are designed to demonstrate individual competency and knowledge in understanding the principles, practices and tools of a lean accounting system. You will validate your knowledge by completing assessments at the end of each session.

These certification courses are based on BMA’s proven approach to implementing lean accounting in all types of companies in any industry.

Lean Management Accounting Certification

A management accounting system is designed to deliver relevant & reliable information to managers to make good business decisions. When a company commits to a lean transformation, the definition of relevant and reliable information changes because users need information that supports the lean strategy and lean operations. In this certification course, you will learn the principles, practices and tools of a lean management accounting system and how to apply them in any lean company.

Lean Accounting Process Improvement Certification

Lean principles, practices and tools can be applied in all types of processes, but the starting points and sequence in which they are used to unlock the benefits are different. This course is structured specifically for accounting function and how it processes work. In this certification course, you will learn how to apply lean principles, practices and tools in accounting to eliminate waste, improve productivity and serve your customers better.

Format: Online, self-paced courses
Content: Each certification consists of five 1-hour classes with an assessment after each session. Sessions must be taken in sequential order.

Certification Requirements:

Watch entire videos of each session
Respond to 3 of 4 Review Questions during each session
Complete the 10-question multiple choice assessment after each class and score 70% or better
The expected time to complete a certification course is 20 calendar days from receiving the login to the learning management system. If you think you will need more time, it can be arranged upon registration
Duration
Estimated time to complete one session: 1.5 – 2 hours which consists of:

Preparation: 15 - 30 minutes to download materials and review
Watch video of session : 1 hour
Complete the assessment : 15 – 30 minutes. It is highly recommended that you download the session presentation before taking the assessment to use as reference material.

Prerequisites: None are required, but it is recommended to have a general understanding of lean and lean accounting because the courses use lean and lean accounting terminology & phrases.
Registration Process

Complete the Registration using Humanitix QR code
Best Practice Network will advise BMA of your registration
You will be confirmed in the course learning management system (iSpringLearn) as a new learner by BMA
You will receive an e-mail from iSpringLearn to login and set up your password
