Event description

It feels like the world is calling on us to rethink, reimagine & redefine our understanding & experiences of leadership.

In September 2022 LEAP crew, a group of Youth Inc students, set off on a journey to just that; with the intention of unearthing & nourishing a leadership ecosystem that supports a new generation of leaders to rise up and lead change.

Some of the questions we asked included:

  • What does leadership even mean?
  • Who are our most valued leaders?
  • What gifts do they share with the world?

We’d love you to join us and the continuing conversation at our first event!

Along with some amazing community facilitators we are hosting this event so together we can explore & express our insights & ideas on the type of leaders the world is calling forth right now.

Take part in a range of creative & play based explorations including collage, mirror making, creative writing, & gamified reflections that will help us

  • Imagine & illuminate the unsung leaders of our times
  • Acknowledge and celebrate the leaders in our lives and
  • Acknowledge and celebrate the leader within

We hope you can join us!

Meet the LEAP crew and our awesome guest facilitators who will be joining us on the day!

The LEAP CREW

Zoe (she/her) is creative individual human person. Passionate about passions. Loves connecting connections and communicating through communications and leading leaders. Thank you for reading my goofy bio, come chat w me about chats 💜

Rearna (she/they) is a LEAPer at Youth Inc. Rearna believes it's so important to rethink & reimagine leadership in ways that recognise there are so many different ways of being a leader & that we can all lead in our own way. They are passionate about doing this so everyone is able to embrace the leader within and "be the change they wish to see in the world" (Ghandi)

Aston (he/they) is an artist with a passion for storytelling through music, writing, photography and film. They are committed to challenging dynamic social issues for the purpose of driving positive change in their communities, practising 'yindyamarra' (‘giving honour, moving slow and taking responsibility’) as they go. Aston is also a Community Builder & Content Creator for Hub Adl, a statewide online magazine for young people, powered by CCYP SA (Commissioner for Children & Young People).
Aston is deeply inspired by ‘unconventional’ leaders in their life who empower them to recognise their strengths and reach their full potential. They are motivated to ignite enriching conversations on reimagining leadership, with the hope to inspire others to recognise the leader within themselves and their communities.
